The future of cars....

Google wants Neveda to give the ok on cars that have no drivers but can drive automatically. This is a bit scary considering the fact that a robot is driving the car, what would the car do if someone was stealing the car of if it got a ticket, who would pay for it? the questions are limitless and still a cool idea of how the automotive industry is changing around us. Lets keep our fingers crossed that this gets oked and the future of cars can bee seen.

Sony Again with Safety?

Sony has just announced that they will give every single user of PSN or a Sony network account will get AllClear ID protection for one year. All I can say is good luck to that company with getting a large userbase in an instant, but the problems that they are going to face is bad with the fact that the information is already out in the blue for people who have the information and are supposedly selling it according to Toms Hardware. I think that it is good that Sony is providing users with identity theft protection but I think Sony needs hire more ASP coders ( I'm not saying that it is easy to code ASP but there are people who are actually coding.) for protecion becuase this event could have possibly been avoided.

Google ChromeBook?

Google has announced the specifications of the Google ChromeBook. The specs are great for the price that are selling for and can do almost all the tasks that a regular person would be doing with the computer. The question is... "Is it going to be good?" Now many Google users that has signed up for the Cr-48 Chromebook had gotten the ChromeBook for free, with the internet. Many users that already have the laptop say it is good but they can't elaborate more on it for many reasons. Now to matter of this topic is that should the laptop have some type of subscription fee to use the operating system because it can do mostly eveything? I have no problems with windows so far but that is because I had built my own computer. Most Windows problems are based off the hardware. If windows became selective of the parts they use and dont use they would never have problems.

Sony NGP

     With do much news about Google's software and hardware, many companies have been left out of the dark for this week. Companies like Facebook has  created and hired PR executives for the week to create a smear Google Campaign because why you might ask, because they have been left out in the dark for the last week or two. Sony has figured out their way of taking over the entire field for tech for this week. Sony announced the processor that is going to be used as the processor for the Sony NGP. Sony's Next Generation Platform, is going to use a small quad core that is made from VIA the guys that create very small processors that work for basic computers. The VIA processor is only going to use 27.5 watts with will leave a bit left for the graphics area if Sony is following their 50 - 60 watt setup to uphold their end of what was initially announced. This has caused dome small takeover for Sony to regain after what they had lost in the publics eye of losing credit card information supposedly. After this week in tech, it can almost be compared to what happened at CES 2009 the new change for ATI and NVIDIA.

Microsoft wants skype???

     Today, Microsoft announced that they would like to have a piece of Skype. This can go two ways, One they keep prices low and keep customers happy or they raise the price and make everyone mad. Skype is very cheap to make calls, with only $60 a year for unlimited minutes and a custom phone number and over 10 million subscribers, they want to see what a bit of funding can do. This will greatly affect the outcome of the company in a few months. I do not agree with the buy over unless they really need the money. If they need the money it will help them but for now they are just fine the way they are from the public standpoint. They have the user base and the money to basically become the next Google but of the talk industry. Many users already have switched over to Skype by only having the internet on their phone and getting the plan on the side. Microsoft already has their own cellphone system and the failed Zune attempt. Microsoft will never fall down and crumble because of the people who use a computer that runs on Microsoft. Microsoft can make Skype a failed plan if they need to crumble the company to gain domination in the voice industry to compete with Google Talk and Voice. Skype looks like they are interested but after what happened to Nokia they Wonder why Microsoft has a special interest in them.

Post-Mortem Pictures

 Many Americans are wanting to see the pictures of Osama Bin Laden but President Obama said that it was not going to happen. I can understand that many want to see the pictures as it would be reassuring to the person who would want to see them. On the other side it would make extremist more mad than they already are and bad things can happen if the picture was released. I think it is a good thing not to show the picture but on the other side, I would still like to see a picture. Now, the media is saying the the death was not a legal kill under the Geneva Convention. This is just plain idiotic, there are exceptions in the codes that were established.

Why Google’s Voice Service will takeover…

      Google has come out the the beta phase of testing the voice phone service on cellphone’s today will a standard Android phone and the Android Software but with a twist. The beta phase has been selected within a group of Google workers  and their family members. This is the best way to keep control to Google and not letting any information get out of the service that has caused so much hype in the past few months

 Today, the news has come in the Osama Bin Laden was killed by U.S. Navy Seals. This has caused many for a good reason to celebrate outside in NYC at night when the news first came in. About five thousand people went to go out and celebrate what had happened. Some are suspicious though, but they shouldn't they should believe what they have been told that they cannot release the pictures. Some are questioning the fact they there haven't been any pictures but the public has been reassured that it is actually Osama Bin Laden and not someone else. The CIA has done DNA test multiple times which is reassuring.

The NYC Praise

    Today, the New York Mets have announced that they will honor any military ID that is shown at the ticket gate and they will be able to go and see any game for free at Citi Field. This is a sign of praise which is a good thing that the military it getting praise for a successful mission that was started in March 2003. I think that it is nice for all the servicemen and women to be praised for the work that they have done to keep the country safe. Its the little rewards that count the most. 

Windows 8 the death of the Blue Screen of Death?

      Today, Windows has announced that Windows 8 is going to be having a few giant changes. The first one, is the new Black Screen of Death. This new Black Screen of Death is going to take over every single problem that there is within windows and just come up with a message saying that the computers need to be restarted and once the computer is restarted, it will then come up will an error message after you login to windows after the restart. Now this is going under heavy question with the ability that Microsoft is going to have their own tech support which they already have for enterprise solutions. This black screen, will only tell the user what happened after the crash with no error code. Before in all the Blue Screens, it would come up with an error code and the program that crashed the computers. For advanced users who know how to troubleshoot, there will still be the debugging tools with the ability to check exactly what happened to the computer

Google

The idea of having a phone service and internet from Google is something that is starting to come about. So far most people have an Android software Phone. It would be nicer to get a bill from Google that bypasses all the extra fees. This may soon be a reality, Google has decided that it will bring a phone and internet service towards cities such as Kansas. Now America is ranked 14th in speed for internet overall in the World. This will soon change the speed to about 150 Megabits per second this is a mind blasting ability. This is almost faster than T1 internet which cost about $400 a month to service , yet Google has the ability to dish it out for about $80.

Google's Kill Swtich

 Google has come out with the idea to have a kill switch in Android phones and its mobile counterparts that are using the software and the use of a kill switch is not yet known but ideas of the kill switch reason is up to your idea right now. So far it is a concept that may be realized for many next generation consoles and handheld such as the Nintendo 3DS where Nintendo can just click a button on the computer and the 3DS would be rendered useless and $250 has gone down the drain for what reason is the Kill Switch is installed for, it is for hacking. Many computer games that make use of the Anti Cheat software Punkbuster which would automatically detect hacking programs installed on the computer and then based on the program will then choose to either ban the player from the game and the only way to get back into the game, is to buy the game over again. The second ban, is a GUID Ban which is related to over three games that share a unique ID called the GUID which to get pass that, is to call and repeal a case to Punkbuster and then the last and most difficult one, is a hardware ban. A hardware ban, is where Punkbuster puts small bits of information in the harddrive and you cannot play any game that uses Punkbuster.

Google has come out with the ability for doctors to look at a human body and identify problems and also give relief to the victims in Japans Natural Disaster even though they are not related. Overall, the market of cruse oil is beginning to drop which is going to take big to an affect on the foreign and domestic stock markets. As there is unrest in the middle east as some of the biggest oil companies as placed in Lybia for their oil.  'We are seeing a significant elevation in risk premiums, with investors revising their expectations for the region," said Hashem Montasser. This change will increase the security in gold and silver when people see the market is going the change the only place where people can actually secure their investment is in gold it may be rising and it surely will not go down. This ripple effect will also take a change in the commodities from the unrest in the middle east will change this market forever as no one can actually protect the investment of countries in oil as they increase.

Today, a mother of six was so addicted to playing farmville the facebook game, she neglected her six kids and left them alone in the house with no food. The children lived in filth and animal waster, all six of the children were under 11 years old. They had nothing to eat, the husband had to call social services in to get the children. The husband tried to help the children but it was to overwhelming for him. Being addicted to a game has its limits, you should know where to stop and where to continue from this was just downright unacceptable. The mother has lost custody of the children and the mother has been charged with neglect. There should be a specific cut off point for a game, as if it was parental control and there was some type of timer for certain games where it would cut off. A cut off would be helpful, but be a major problem to gamers who have the ability to control themselves.

IBM's good friend Watson has recently played a game of Jeopardy and has the ability to win at every single question with out a hiccup in the system. Watson was leading with $5500 while they other two human competors where about $2000 behind be advised though, this is not just the basic Jeopardy, this is the Jeopardy Champions game which shows that a computer has the ability to win but one thing that is a bit scary is that Watson, has the ability to analyze voice stress and then give a emotion based off of what is said to the word Watson. If something funny is said the icon of a smile will be depicted on the face based on the mood.  This is a bit to advanced for computer for the fact that the book R.U.R is a bit of a reference I am trying to get at.

Apple CEO's Steve Job has been granted a medical leave from the board of directors from Apple. Now, when this happens this means that Apple's stock will go down and down until they find out that Steve Jobs has not gone into a serious medical condition and then the stock will usually go back up. This is the trend that Apple has set with its traders. Jobs, has the most influential power as a CEO to make or break Apple just like Facebook's Zukerburg the ability to destroy a company with in a day is very believable.

A group of crazy gamers have come up with the idea to raid a medical center and use the server and the internet to host a call of duty server to satisfy their needs. The problem is that the medical server that they have taken, belonged to a Radiology Center and within the data of the harddrive, they have the ability to access all the Social Security numbers they want from patients but there is a way to tell if there was misuse of the server to gain information. The raiders have not used the information and just wanted to satisfy their needs of hosting a call of duty game.

Today, a macbook was stolen from professors from the University of Oklahoma. The Professors have put up a $1000 reward to getting the notebook back and no questions asked by the police and no arrest. The special thing about this notebook, is that it has vital research into finding a cure to prostate cancer or the ability to supress it. The ability to prevent or stop the cancer cells is very vital but the bad side is, that it is missing and they never saved the information anywhere else so all information is lost if it had to come down to it. At the CES today, a biomedical lab announced that ability to multiply the power of a humands stength the ability to have that type of power would be crazy but also giving people giving the ability to multiply their strength would be chaing with the ability of a exoskeleton making people able to walk when they were not able to.  The crazy and a bit frightening about this exoskeleton, is that ability to think on its own and move by itself without  anyone controlling it only the legs of the exoskeleton work with out human control, but the ability for it to move and them having the ability to multiplay their strenght is a bit of a robot takeover.

We the new year, technology will change rapidly with the bring in of CES. The Consumer Electronics Show starts with in two days and the unveiling of new processors and electronics that makes you job or a task easier will be shown. Looking back 50 years from 2011, is 1961 and the tech. back then was not so grant. Most things today are taken for granted while 50 years ago they would not even have this. The Air Force has made their first computer that had the ability to do simple math and today the amount of things that can be done on a computer is enourmous while there are simple progams that are used for everyday jobs, some things are used for scientist that can show what to do.
